18th September, 2026 (Friday) to be a holiday on the occasion of Viswakarma Puja

NOTIFICATION

The State Government had earlier declared 17th September, 2026 (Thursday) to be a holiday on the occasion of Viswakarma Puja in terms of Notification No. 4188-F(P2) dated 27th November, 2025. Now, information has been received that this year Viswakarma Puja falls on 18th September, 2026 (Friday).

In view of the above, the Governor is pleased to declare 18th September, 2026 (Friday) as State Government Holiday on the occasion of Viswakarma Puja. Therefore, the State Government Offices, Local Bodies, Statutory Bodies, Boards, Corporations and Undertakings controlled or owned by State Government, educational Institutions, other offices/institutions under the control of Government of West Bengal will remain closed on that day.
