Enhancement of Upper Age limit, Extension of date of submission of Online
Application & Cut-off date for Qualification, experience & age (including
publication)
As per Notification No. 708-Edn(CS)/8R-01/2024(Part-I) dated 18/05/2026 issued
by the Department of Higher Education, Govt. of West Bengal, in pursuance of the
Notification No. 707-Edn(CS/8R-01/2024 (Part-I) dated 18/05/2026, issued by the
same Department, it is hereby notified that the upper age limit for the purpose
of Application for the post of Assistant Professor in Government-aided Colleges
has been extended upto 45 (forty five) years as on 1st January, 2026. The usual
relaxations in age for reserved categories shall continue to apply as per extent
norms.
It is further notified that the last date for submission of Online Application has
been extended to 18th June, 2026.
The cut-off date for determination of all items relating to qualification,
experience and publication shall stand revised to 18th June, 2026. It is however,
clarified that the cut-off date for calculation of age shall remain 1st January, 2026,
as specified above.
All other terms and conditions as contained in the Original Notification shall
remain unchanged.
