It is a tool designed to help students track their progress under the new semester system for Higher Secondary education in West Bengal. It calculates a grand total and final score out of 100 based on the marks you enter.
It supports four categories: Lab-based (70 Theory + 30 Practical), Non-Lab (80 Theory + 20 Project), Mathematics (100 Theory + 0 Project), and Music/Visual Arts (50 Theory + 50 Practical).
You enter marks for Semester 1 (MCQ), Semester 2 (Descriptive), and Practical/Project marks. The theory marks from Semester 1 and Semester 2 are added together, then combined with the practical or project marks for the grand total.
The maximum for each semester is half of the theory marks for the selected subject category. The placeholder fields update automatically to show the maximum allowed for each input.
A student must score at least 30% in theory and 30% in practical separately. If the practical maximum is zero, only the theory requirement applies.
It displays the grand total out of 100 along with a status of PASSED or FAILED. If failed, it also shows the minimum required theory and practical marks.
