The Finance Department of the Government of West Bengal has further revised the delegated financial powers of Administrative Departments to accelerate the sanction and execution of schemes and projects. Under the new order, the PWD, Irrigation & Waterways, and several other departments can approve projects up to Rs. 3 crore. The NBDD, PU, and Sundarban Affairs departments have a delegated limit of Rs. 1 crore, while all other departments may approve up to Rs. 75 lakh. Administrative approvals and financial sanctions must still be made with the concurrence of the department's Financial Advisor and in consideration of budget provisions. The memorandum, signed by Additional Chief Secretary P.K. Mishra, took immediate effect on June 5, 2026.

Subject: Revision of Delegated Financial Power of the Administrative Department for according Administrative Approval and Financial Sanction
Finance Department has last revised the delegated financial power of Administrative Departments vide Memo no. 2502-F(Y) dt. 07.07.2025 read with No: 3784-F(Y) dt. 31.10.2025.
Now, to enable faster sanction and execution of Schemes and Projects, the Delegated Financial power of the Administrative Departments is further revised as follows:
