MEMORANDUM
Finance Department Memo No. 5531-F(Y) dated 5th November 2014 contains the procedure of procurement of Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) from M/s e-Mudhra Consumer Services Ltd both for e-Pradan module and also for e-NIT authorities. The memo, was issued consequent upon discontinuance of DSC supply by NIC Certifying Authority (NICCA). Now a question has been raised as to whether the e-NIT authorities who already possess DSC need to procure DSC again from M/s e-Mudhra Consumer Services Ltd.
It is clarified that the officers who already have valid class-2 DSC issued by one of the licensed certifying authorities of CCA under Department of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, need not procure DSC again in terms of Finance Department Memo No. 5531-F(Y) dated 5th November 2014.
