Banglar Yuva Sathi Scheme – বাংলার যুব সাথী প্রকল্প

Banglar Yuva Sathi Prakalpa (বাংলার যুব সাথী প্রকল্প) is a landmark welfare scheme launched by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in the 2026-27 interim budget for West Bengal. The scheme provides ₹1,500 per month as unemployment allowance to educated but jobless youth aged 21–40, helping them manage daily expenses while they search for employment or plan self-employment. It is administered by the Department of Youth Services & Sports, Government of West Bengal, and funds are transferred directly to beneficiaries via DBT. Payments officially commenced from April 1, 2026.

• ₹1,500 per month directly credited to Aadhaar-linked bank account via DBT
• Support continues for up to 5 years or until the beneficiary gets a job — whichever is earlier
• Maximum total benefit of ₹90,000 over the full support period
• Reduces financial pressure so youth can focus on job search or start a business
• Scheme stops automatically once employment or self-employment is secured
• Scholarship recipients (Aikyashree, Sikshashree, Swami Vivekananda Merit) are still eligible

• Permanent resident of West Bengal
• Age between 21 and 40 years as on April 1, 2026
• Must have passed Madhyamik (Class 10) or equivalent examination
• Must be currently unemployed at the time of application
• Must have a personal Aadhaar-linked bank account (not joint)

Applications can be submitted online at yubasathi.wb.gov.in or offline through Duare Sarkar camps. Three forms must be filled: Application Form, Self-Declaration Form, and Bank Mandate Form.
