Rupashree Prakalpa
Rupashree Prakalpa is a compassionate scheme by the West Bengal government that provides one-time financial assistance of ₹25000 to economically weaker families at the time of their daughter’s marriage. Launched in 2018, it aims to reduce the financial burden on poor families and eliminate the practice of dowry.

Apply at local Block Development Office or Municipality. Required documents: birth certificate of bride, income certificate, Aadhaar, bank account. Application reviewed and money transferred before wedding date.
