Promotion Details
Rule 11 (ROPA 2019): One increment is granted in the present level → the resulting pay is fitted at the equal or next higher cell in the promoted level. Employee may opt to fix pay from date of promotion or from date of next increment.

Rule 9 (ROPA 2019): After fixation in the applicable level, subsequent increments move to the immediate next higher cell in the same level. Annual increment falls on 1st July (minimum 6 months qualifying service required).

Pay Matrix Source: WB Finance Dept. Notification No. 5562-F dated 25.09.2019 (Schedule I, Levels 1–24).
Promotion (Rule 11): 1 increment in present level → equal/next higher cell in promoted level.
Increment (Rule 9): Move to next higher cell in same level. Increment date: 1st July each year.
Initial Fixation (Rule 7): (Band Pay + Grade Pay) × 2.57 → equal/next higher cell in applicable level.
HRA: 12% of basic (max ₹12,000/month per ROPA 2019). MA: ₹500/month. DA rate notified separately.
