SUFAL BANGLA – Farm to Home Agri-Marketing Initiative

About SUFAL BANGLA

SUFAL BANGLA, an initiative of Paschimbanga Agri Marketing Corporation Limited under the Department of Agricultural Marketing, Government of West Bengal, is a pioneering agri-marketing platform dedicated to empowering farmers, strengthening producer collectives, and delivering fresh, safe and quality agricultural produce directly to consumers across West Bengal.

Driven by the vision of inclusive agricultural growth, SUFAL BANGLA has mobilized farmers into organized collectives such as Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs), Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), Farmers Interest Groups (FIGs), Farmers Clubs and Self Help Groups (SHGs). This collective approach has enhanced the bargaining power of small and marginal farmers while ensuring better market access, fair pricing and sustainable livelihoods.

Through a robust ecosystem of aggregation, value addition, storage, grading, quality control and market linkage, SUFAL BANGLA has transformed agricultural marketing into a transparent, technology-driven and farmer-centric model — reducing dependence on middlemen and ensuring assured markets and timely payments for producers.

The platform’s network includes fresh fruits and vegetables, rice, pulses, edible oils and processed food products, sourced directly from farmers and producer groups.

In collaboration with WEBEL Technology Limited, SUFAL BANGLA offers online pricing, digital enrollment, mobile app services and real-time market information. Strategic partnerships with the Indian Institute of Packaging and Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya have further strengthened packaging, product quality and value-added branding under the SUFAL BANGLA label.
