NOTIFICATION
The State Government in the Finance Department vide their notification No. 1104-F (P), dt. 25/02/2016 has introduced a new Group Health Insurance Scheme named ‘Swasthya Sathi’ for the workers, volunteers engaged in various development programmes under the State Government, who are not covered under any Health Insurance or similar other Schemes.
A State Level Committee to oversee the implementation of ‘Swasthya Sathi’ is hereby constituted with the following composition:
- Chief Secretary – Chairman
- Additional Chief Secretary, Home – Member
- Principal Secretary, Health & FW – Member
- Principal Secretary, Finance – Member
- Principal Secretary, Panchayat & Rural Development – Member
- Principal Secretary, Municipal Affairs – Member
- Principal Secretary, Self-Help Group & Self-Employment – Member
- Principal Secretary, Civil Defence – Member
- Secretary, Women & Child Development – Member
- Secretary, Labour & Employment – Member
- Secretary in the Department of Health & FW looking after Swasthya Sathi shall act as convenor.
This has approval of the Chief Secretary to the Government of West Bengal.
