NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the power conferred by sub-sections (7) and (8) of section 6 of the Scheduled Tribes and Other Traditional Forest Dwellers (Recognition of Forest Rights) Act, 2006 (2 of 2007) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) read with rule 9 of the Scheduled Tribes and Other Traditional Forest Dwellers (Recognition of Forest Rights) Rules, 2007, the Governor in supersession of earlier notification on the subject is pleased hereby to constitute the State Level Monitoring Committee with the following members for the purposes of the said Act:-
Chief Secretary, Government of West Bengal; Chairperson
Additional Chief Secretary, Government of West Bengal, Forest Department; Member
Principal Secretary, Government of West Bengal, Land & Land Reforms Member Department;
Principal Secretary, Government of West Bengal, Panchayat & Rural Member Development Department;
Secretary, Government of West Bengal, Backward Classes Welfare Member Department;
Principal Chief Conservator of Forest, Government of West Bengal; Member
Shri Dulal Murmu, MLA, Nayagram Assembly Constituency; Member
Shri Bachchu Hansda, MLA, Tapan Assembly Constituency; Member
