Sikshashree Scholarship
Sikshashree is a dedicated scholarship scheme for students belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Other Backward Classes in West Bengal. The scheme provides financial assistance to help these students continue their education without financial hardship, promoting social equality and educational access for historically marginalized communities.
Annual scholarship for SC/ST/OBC students from Class 5 onwards. Scholarship amounts increase with higher classes. Covers both day scholars and hostellers. Merit-based selection with community consideration. Renewable annually with continued enrollment.
Students from SC/ST/OBC communities enrolled in government or government-aided schools and colleges. Community certificate required. Family income below prescribed limits. Minimum attendance and academic performance criteria. West Bengal resident.
Apply through school or college via the scholarship portal. Required documents: community certificate, income certificate, marksheets, Aadhaar, and bank account. Applications verified by school and submitted to district welfare office.
